Imagine the outrage if government workers did not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits. Consider the massive protests that would be staged by labor leaders all across the country.

Think I’m talking about Wisconsin? No, I’m talking about the federal government.

Contrary to what the Obama administration would lead you to believe, most employees of the federal government do not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits. That means the budget reform plan we signed into law in Wisconsin on Friday is more generous than what President Obama offers federal employees.

Governor Walker, there are no words that can fully encapsulate my contempt for you and your narcissism. You have demonstrated unswerving contempt for your constituents and now you would seek to insult their intelligence as well. You have been on a privatizing bender since you first grabbed power. You overreached then when you replaced courthouse security with a private security firm and your overreach now is so far out of bounds that your arm has left its socket and is in orbit somewhere near Neptune. Your concerted effort to eliminate the public sector is nothing short of a ploy to give these jobs to private sector corporations for (as in your power plants) the lowest bid possible. Your zealousness to destroy the public sector and 80 years of blood shed by workers to eke out equality with management at the bargaining table will ultimate prove to be your undoing. You and the truth have never been on the same planet, let alone shaken hands with each other. I will watch with unabashed schadenfreude as your political career comes to an end with a recall election next year. You and your corporate puppetmasters will not be allowed to purchase this country wholesale, despite the Citizens United travesty.

Thanks for your second post to WaPo too. My mom was a teacher. Pretty much a thankless task when someone like Walker is making the decisions. You really have to love it and it's easy to see, out at youtube, that you do.

When I am in my classroom, my students make me whole. I love what I do and I hate what is being done to us. I wish I could be as heartless and unempathetic as these conservative monsters...my heart might hurt less on a daily basis. It would be the antithesis of all I hold dear, though.
