1. Yeah, I have 4.0 beta
and it will lock up if the vid is playing and I go to full screen. I reported the bug like a week ago.

2. You mean Firefox 4?
I've been able to view most videos. Once in a while Firefox 4 release candidates do crash (freeze) on a Youtube video. Youtube is the only video site I've experienced that on, though.

14. that's what I am using..
I use a wireless connection, so it is not the fastest and I typically have to pre-load Youtube videos. Can you do that?

3. Check your speed...
Edited on Wed Mar-16-11 08:54 PM by Powdered Toast Man
You might have been.... rolled back. I'm paying for "up to" 6mbps but I'm only getting 2.56 now. I was around 4 last month.

ATT has a habbit of bumping you up for a while then tapering you back. I can't watch MSNBC anymore or stream anything that isn't on YouTube.

8. Does it matter that ATT is not my provider? I have Optimum online.

11. Not necessarily.
I mean... You should still check you speed and see what you are getting. If you call and raise a stink they will probably bump you up. Literally, it's a couple key strokes on their end.

6. Opera and Chrome work brilliantly...

Firefox, like IE, and Safari, is yesterday's news, stale toast.

Opera and Chrome are truly the only browsers worth eyeball or CPU time.

9. Yeah, It sucks
Edited on Wed Mar-16-11 08:59 PM by UP_4012
Have not used Firefox since version 3.0. Version 2 sucked but not nearly as bad as v 3.x. People like to blame Adobe Flash, but every other browser I have used has no problems with Flash Content.

10. Someone had similar trouble earlier today
I think they reset their modem by unplugging it and that did some magic IP DNS thingy and made it all better.

13. That was me. See # 21 on this thread, where someone describes the term for how I fixed it.

and it always has worked when something goes kinky.

but...I have also refused to update to FF 4 because already heard of the buggy beta problems.
If it is just YouTube that is a problem, trying the modem reset in the link above.

15. "Viewing"?!1 What's THAT?!1 "Speed" is the current catch-all solution!1
When I was on dial-up for years, I envied everybody for the video viewing. Then I got DSL from a local company and saw one or two and thought I was POSH.

Now I've got Windows 7 and thought I was TOPPERS. Nope, can't see ANY stoopid video, just STALL and SPUTTER.

Yeah, somebody said it is my internet provider/SPEED. I called. Why did I call.
