3. Loss of water in several reactors, exposing fuel rods-- a major problem...

with radiation levels rising high enough they can't fly over to try to refill, which makes these reactors at very high risk for meltdown. Further the levels are high enough they haven't wanted to send humans in at times (though workers are still on the job).

Big controversy with US NRC recommending a 50 mile evacuation area and Japan still going with 12.

That's my take, at least. On edit, I left out the Japanese claim that they are close to having a new power line established which might make it possible to restart the cooling systems. 'Hope that is true.
