Now somebody tell me the fallout from Japan has no chance of affecting the US.

2. We won't know until everything is under control.
So far, nowhere near the amount. But, we are very early in this disaster.

3. Chernobyl was one reactor. How many are having "issues" in Fukushima?
And, agreed, we haven't seen how it will play out yet.

5. This Could be Far Worse than Chernobyl
SIX nukes plus 40 years worth of "spent" fuel from each of them.

Plutonium from both the MOX and the spent fuel.

If those heroic workers cannot pull off a miracle it's all gonna go.

4. And John Boner wants to forge ahead with Nuclear Energy here in these divided states
they are so fking back wards. The ocean floor is drilled into and oil spills into the Gulf poisoning everything in site, and they say drill baby drill. A nuclear disaster in Japan, shows that we lack the knowledge to control a disaster like it here in the US, and the Republicons say, Forge ahead, there's no danger, we should be like France says Mr. Boner. What kind of twilight zone are we living in? Don't slow down and get all the information to decide how to proceed in the future, ignore what's happening in Japan and move forward with a potentially catastrophic energy source. Yeah, I want them in charge.
Lou
