So, are rich people and corporations ever going to pay their share?
I'm sick and damn tired of reading cuts to social programs to help poor people, cuts to education, health care coverage and more. Never do I read anything that says banks, corporations, or the wealthy are being told to pay their fair share since they have 90% of all the wealth in this country.

They get a free pass while the burden of debt and all the problems associated with it are put on the rest of the population.

I'm just sick of reading it day after day.

1. Nope!

They have been telling us that through both of their parties, have they not? It does not matter if it is R or D, we are expected to go with the program presented because there is no people's party, labor party, or anything else to challenge the facade that is created now by money and power.

We can argue amongst ourselves or bemoan our fates as much as we want to, but the entrenchment of the powers that be is both firm and stable and well managed by the propaganda that people pay for, mass media at large. This system has become so confident and assured in itself that it barely winks or blinks at the underlying dissent and outrage that many people are feeling and experiencing. In other words, Democracy be damned, we have this under control and you don't and won't, ever.

So, we can continue to play loyal to this and that or sit and indulge in our hard to refute denials of what is being pushed in our faces by the Corporate Occupation, or we can start to break away, understand our real dilemma, think differently, dare to do and act, and respond in a mature way that represents a realistic counterpoint to the challenge at hand. Other countries have and spilling over the line of the mass facade is nothing new. You just have to let your anger and rage overcome your manufactured loyalty once you realize the how and why of the manipulations at hand.

2. Short answer: no
Not while they control the politicians in DC, and can give unlimited amounts of money to them.

I am sick of reading about it, too. The division of wealth in this country is obscene, and not going to change with our current crop in DC. I had hopes for Obama, but when he refused to go after Bush and Cheney (like Clinton didn't go after Reagan and Bush), I started to wonder just how much he was going to actually do.

Two Americas, one for the Haves, and the other for the Have-Nots like myself (and 90% of the population).
