What if Obama doesn't even run in 2012?
Seems like every third post lately is about who should primary him, the poll numbers of this or that potential Democratic candidate vs this or that Repub candidate. But I've yet to see any speculation about "what if he decided not to run?" Probably not a realistic situation given human's attraction to power and a reluctance to give up any gained.

But seriously, what if he just said "the hell with it, I've had enough" ?

Yeah
There really can be no doubt about it anymore. He's pretty much already campaigning.

18. He sure ripped Ross Perot a new one
for daring to oppose NAFTA.

As White Goodman said in Dodgeball, "Prepare to be embarrassed on cable tv."

10. He seems to be acting like a politician up for re-election to me.
But if he did actually say "to hell with it, I've had enough" he'd probably win more reelection votes than with what he's saying now.

19. Obama has already started his campaign for re-election.
He's been quiet about it, but the team is aleady forming out there.
