behavior as he takes your rights away without the slightest bit of resistance.

22. My recommendation WAS (not "is" because it's too late)
To show some teeth.
I suggested that to start, the TEACHERS and just the teachers, strike. This would have the same effect as shutting down the schools putting parents in a panic. It also puts some pressure on the local economy. So business people who have clout would call on walker to knock it off.

While that's going on you should have told the public that police and fire would be striking next.
That would have everyone calling up screaming.

It also wouldn't have killed you to act upset. At least pretend. Look at the nutbaggers. They're always furious. Some of them are even packing heat. I wouldn't want to mess with them if I was a governor.

How many opinion polls does it take?

People don't know or really give a shit about the workers.
But keep them from going to work because there's nobody watching their kids and they'll agree to anything to make it stop.

31. Well you didn't get the public to make those calls.
Winning over the public and getting them on your side is a nice thing to have, but as I mentioned before, the public doesn't really care about your set of problems.
We're a selfish lot.
We only care when we have problems and want them resolved.

You needed to give the public a set of problems that only the governor could resolve.

I'm so disappointed because of the lack of leadership in this whole thing. If anything it proved how powerless the unions and workers and democrats are.

35. the problem is that the public is not informed
you are very critical..but what exactly have you done?
Talk is cheap buddy...

We have a huge problem here...it is called media blackout.
100,000 people protest in Madison and not one national news carried it.

In Michigan the Governor wants to be able to allow corporations take over in times of emergency....not a word but for a few.

The gov in Wisconsin was presented to the national audience as being the fiscal man who wants to "balance the budget" It was the progressive movement and Wisconsin voters and one or two media reps that gave it attention which finally got the real message out.

We are having a corporate take over here...this is a huge task and we are working hard...

lack of leadership by whom..our president, our VP? If you are talking grass roots then you are not paying attention.

By the way..what are you doing other than running off at the mouth

Like I said talk is cheap

40. Constructive criticisms.
You complain about no media coverage, I suggested ideas on how to get it.

You complain nobody is listening, I suggested ways to get them to listen.

That's what I did.

As for what I'm *doing*, surely after what I did, I feel I have the right to complain. Don't take it personally, it's more to do with the unions and organizers. Totally incompetent.

getting pissed off and creating problems gives the opposite side and police an excuse to stop you in your tracks

32. Stop you in your tracks form doing what?
Singing and chanting in an empty office building?

You didn't need to demonstrate. You needed to shut down the schools.
It would have made big time press, people would be screaming bloody murder at the governor to make it stop so they can get back to work.

Showing up to a demonstration armed wouldn't get you any closer to your goal but it would get you on tv. People kept complaining there was no media coverage. Well, think like a nut jobber and you'll get on tv.

take anger and mean and turn it into positive change...have you ever heard of the six principles of nonviolence?

15. I've heard and seen the 6 principles of getting stepped on by rightwing coporatists,
1.) Don't be rude.
2.) Smile and sing songs.
3.) Don't say overly mean things about your opponent.
4.) Definitely don't throw or break stuff.
5.) When they ask you to leave, quietly and peacefully do so.
6.) Don't stop working. Whatever you do... Don't stop working. Wouldn't want to inconvenience anyone or put any kind of pressure on the local economy. Demonstrate only when you have time off, especially on the weekends when nobody in the downtown area will mind the disruption.

See, I know them.

21. well, all I can say is that you haven't been paying attention
and THIS rally was on a Tuesday.

and I am with my fellow protesters...my anger isn't towards them

who exactly am I suppose to be rude to? my brothers and sisters that are standing with me?

no one asked us to leave because we got a permit to be there....HOWEVER, you haven't been paying attention to Wisconsin and Michigan, or Tennessee, or Ohio

Yes most of us can't stop working because of the economy...but when we are not working, we are working on the problems at hand.

I feel you are the one that is angry....so how about joining us?

33. If I haven't been paying attention, it's because I can't stand to watch
as their rights get taken away from them too.

Tell me, what did Tuesday's rally accomplish? Did it get you your rights back?

You're right I'm angry that these bastards too your rights and you weren't able to stop them with your methods. I'm angry there was no leadership from the unions. They didn't do shit. Yeah. Pissed.

I'm not a teacher or public worker in wisconsin so I'm not doing anything except criticizing the organizers and demonstrators for what I perceive to be a lost battle.

And people keep asking about this recall. Apparently that's not going to get anywhere either.
