and naming nonsense. There are 12 or 13 now. How about we just space them better?

Why not the first Monday of each month as a national holiday giving most workers a three day weekend each month? For the summer we have Memorial Day, he 4th of July, and Labor day, missing only an early August holiday to give us a break each month of the summer. Additional holidays could be added the 3rd Monday of summer months giving workers the time off when they could most enjoy them.

You know and I know the stretch from the 4th to Labor day sucks and that a three day weekend in August would be a huge hit. I would definitely surrender "Columbus Day" for this. or even celebrate it early.

and I think it is the patriotic thing to do. Give everyone the day off so that they can go VOTE!


of course, the GOP would never go for it because they know they would get slaughtered in the polls. After all, the WORKING PEOPLE would have a day off to vote!
