Are repukes in Congress being so cruel because they know their shit won't pass?

Tried to post this earlier but it didn't "take".

They had plenty of opportunities to defund NPR, eviscerate unions, redefine rape, and halt legal abortion during the 2000s when they had Congress and Bush the Lesser. But they didn't do it.

My question is, are they throwing feces to their slavering, inbred base now? Is this just a sop to the stupid teabaggers? Do you think they'd do this crap if they had as much power as they did 6 years ago?

6. I don't see a limit to their cruelty.

The union-busting is part of the plan. They're all for it. Some of them don't really care about abortion and women's rights, but they're throwing a bone to the base. Some of them really are that crazy. Defunding NPR is also part of the plan... destroy anything that could conceivably spread liberalism and/or sanity, like Acorn and Planned Parenthood, and that methodology will continue mercilessly until it stops working out so beautifully for them. They'll keep pushing until they meet resistance.
