2. I was thinking 100-150,000 but now I'm thinking it's worse.
Globalization means what happens to them hits us, too. We are all in this mess together.

3. You mean total death toll? Officially it's at 16,600 so far, but I think you're probably right.
Never mind the various cancers years from now that probably won't be included in the official stats.

It's been a hell of a week.

4. I'm only thinking of the tsunami numbers. Towns gone missing.
How many towns in the path of the water? At least ten thousand from each town? I watched it happen on TV. Real time. And I somehow had no idea of the height of the waves. I know about Indonesia. Why didn't I realize what I was seeing?
