For two weeks, we've had a Greek chorus demanding action with Libya and now

we have a Greek chorus bemoaning any action in regard to Libya. I'm getting whiplash. A pox on both of your houses.

they're worried about an influx of immigrants with which they couldn't cope only some of whom could genuinely claim refugee status. Same probably applies to Spain, Italy , Malta and France itself to some extent. I suppose in theory only Libyans nationals could claim refugee status : not Libya's foreign national work population which seems to be quite substantial.

2. A No Fly Zone yes. A war on Libya, no. But hey Shock and Awe is pretty exciting

For the US these days, permission for a full on war is preferable to a permission for a wimpy humanitarian action

You can't let that determine your opinion. I am applauding the air strikes, and I haven't been part chorus -- Greek, American, or otherwise.
