What the G.O.P./Tea Party wants,
Whatever the stand the Tea Party/G.O.P. takes on any subject Be it Social, or Economic. If you render away all the Bull Shit. You are left with Only one statement that tells the whole truth of their feelings, motivations, and desires. "I've got Mine, Fuck you!"

Not coincidentally it's the same mantra that corporations/corporatism use, but they put it as: externalize the cost, internalize the profits. Translated it's the same "I've got mine, fuck you ".

They're just aping the people that are, in effect, making them their bitch.

6. No the main thing they want is to be the boss
They want to dictate how things will be. They do not want to discuss anything..They say they will NEVER Compromise. What does that mean? It means their way and their way ONLY.. They have zero respect for more than half the nation..and they do not EVER want a black man in any position to tell them how it is going to be.. EVER..

9. The main things they want
are freedom of choice and to be left alone.

Until we understand and respect what they really want, they will continue to believe the whole truth about us Dems is: "We know best so live as we say."

12. Wrong.
That may be true as far as it goes, but there's something more. They do not accept any responsibility for the common good of society, which they do not even acknowledge exists. Second, they wish to avoid all responsibility for the consequences of their own greed and selfishness while retaining all of the profits.

They are evil parasites to the core of their bones. And healthy parasites make for a dead host.

13. Partisan blather
and is nothing but the equivilent of them shouting socialism about us. Does nothing but help keep us divided.

They do not accept responsibility for the common good of society as defined by YOU. They acknowledge it exists and if you would bother speaking with them, you would find out that they believe individuals should help each others instead of waiting for govt to do it for us.
Second, not everybody believes success and choice are signs of greed and selfishness. Some people believe that what they work for is theirs and that they should determine how it is used, not somebody using govt to push a personal agenda.

Now, IF you are talking only of successful business people who just happen to be Republicans, then fine, think what you want of them. I do not envy or hate them that way, but whatever floats your boat.
I however, am talking about the rank and file Republicans. Our neighbors, friends and family.

21. Why?
Because I am a Democrat who understands and respects that not all people think and believe the same things. Saying all Republicans are this or that is dishonest and does nothing more than keep us fighting amongst each other instead of fighting for each other.

It is wrong when the right-wing says all Democrats are socialists who want govt to run our lives for us and it is wrong for us on the left to say ALL Republicans are as you say.

I can only guess that I haven't been TS yet because I support the Democratic Party, its platform and only deal with FACTS. Oh, and I also enjoy defending President Obama when the sky is falling crowd gets after him.

23. Cool
But I think you are grossly misreading the motives and intentions of the modern reichwingers. Regardless of what their footsoldiers do or do not believe, their masters, like the Kochs, believe in a return to a slavery-era/Gilded Age organizational model of society. And we underestimate that very real risk at our own peril.

25. Yea
I get the same thing from the right, but they warn of socialism, big brother, the UN and having the US Constitution taken away. A society where govt gives, takes and dictates everybodys rights, freedoms and life.

Stereotypes do nothing but cloud reality and hinder progress.

Seems to me that's usually righties going after it - End separation of church and state, make America a Christian theocracy, repeal the 14th amendment and preserve America's whiteness and English.

20. Actually, many of them want to dismantle government COMPLETELY.
I know this because I talk with a few of those delusional idiots on a fairly regular basis. Or rather, we rant at one another in duelling LTTEs to our local indie rag.

Yes, they literally want NO GOVERNMENT AT ALL. They use the phrase "government is just a gun pointed at the heads of people".

But truth is, they have no problem with it if THEY are the ones holding the fucking gun.

16. Sorry, But That's Horseshit
Most of the GOP/Tea Party people are nothing more than selfish people who have largely benefitted greatly from massive social spending throughout their lives and now want to deny the same services to others by constantly calling for reductions in the tax base which inevitably lead to cuts in government services.

I don't have respect for people who are complete hypocrites and I don't give a damn what they think about me.

22. Interesting that you
leave out that they have also paid for those services that they are benifitting from and that they had no choice but to pay for those services. So, how can they be hypocrits seeing how all they are doing is getting what they have already paid for?

Of course you don't respect them. They don't respect us either. Its hard to respect peoples rights when they disagree with you.

They're (you're? tea troll on DU?) just a bunch of jingoist that hate taxes, the idea of a black president and believe everything FoxNews tells them to believe. They're a tool of the RNC, their philosophy is poorly thought out and if ever actually implemented America as we know it would not be as prosperous. The America they want is one where companies do whatever they want, screw the poor, where the only law is anyone who owns weaponry.

It's frequently said that their ideal of America is just for it to become like Somalia, or any of those countries where there's no order. A country where the guy who draws his gun fastest is the one who's right.

They think that anarchy is the ultimate solution and that somehow if we abolish all of the rules they don't like as long as they have a gun they're going to be safe and that the peace we have in this country is going to remain. What they're NOT thinking is what if someone else with guns shoots up their house? And wins? And takes all of their guns and valuables? Where do they go then? Friends and neighbors? Nope! They subscribe to the same "every man for himself!" logic - no handouts! How well will the economy and the value of the dollar and education fair in such a society.

No, I don't respect tea partiers and I consider them false libertarians. If you really are a 1%er - fuck you. I hope you lose that and have a nice piece of humble pie to remind you what it feels like to be a poor everyman.

10. They just want Obama out of office; they wouldn't make a peep if a Repub was
in the WH, no matter how identical (to Obama) his policies would be -and they probably would be identical. I don't think it has anything to do with taxes -the "tax" revolt is a subconscious pretext, IMHO.
