Do You Know Which Democrat Governor Got More Money from the Koch Brothers Than Scott Walker?
http://wepartypatriots.com/wp/2011/03/18/do-you-know-which-democrat-governor-got-more-money-from-the-koch-brothers-than-scott-walker/

The contributions from Mr. Koch and his wife Julia to the Cuomo campaign total $74,900, according to the campaign finance records. David Koch made three separate gifts: $25,000 on July 10, 2010; $18,000 on November 16, 2009; and $6,900 on November 30, 2009. Julia Koch made two donations: $15,000 on July 10, 2010, and $10,000 on January 4, 2010.

A conservative blogger has taken offense at the lack of attention being paid by Democrats to NY Governor Andrew Cuomo’s relationship with recent liberal public enemy number one, Koch Industries. Cuomo, who seeks to cut education spending and shift some power away from teachers unions, received more money from the Koch Brothers than Scott Walker during the last election. Walker’s $43,000 Koch donation is almost half the size of the $74,900 financial endorsement Cuomo received.

The author, JammieWearingFool, derides the Left for ignoring the matter:

“Apparently David Koch lavishing tens of thousands of dollars on Democrats isn’t very newsworthy. Don’t you just love the double standard?”

2. The proper word in that useage is DemocratIC.
DEMOCRATIC.

"Democrat" is not an adjective.

12. The OP's subject should have been in quotation marks.
It's the title of the article.

13. That is NOT the case here.
It is probably a case of directly quoting a subject line.

Considering what we are facing, this is a minor correction, but nevertheless, we don't need to keep repeating stuff like this.

15. Actually, it's knuckle jerking.

That's the part of the body used for clicking the reply button. It's also the part of the body some people think with.

Except for freepers, of course. They just drag them.

3. Double standard? Is Cuomo breaking union contracts, too?
Because if he was, Democrats would be on him, too. It looks like Koch didn't quite get what he paid for with Cuomo. Or he was buying (or trying to buy) something else.

11. Clearly, the blogger hasn't spoken to my brother about Cuomo!
Politics and governance in New York are both broken. We don't really have either a Democratic or Republican Party here, just a bunch of individuals jockeying for power. Our budgets are agreed to by three men in a room: the governor, the head of the Senate and the head of the Assembly.

I'm dubious about Cuomo for making cuts to education while preserving millionaire from a surtax. I'm willing to see if he can break the deadlock that has favored the few since before his father took office.

Try READING the article -- you might actually get some useful information. Or is it OKAY for Cuomo to take money from the Koch Brothers? Double standard anyone?

21. I guess things just cost more in New York
Andrew Cuomo refused to even entertain the idea of raising taxes on the top income levels in New York. Considering
1) We have a budget problem
2) New York has a very high number of super-rich
3) These super-rich have gotten huge tax cuts over the last decade

I've had a lot of trouble warming up to Mr. Andrew Cuomo.

He doesn't seem to have many policies that I know of that are particularly Democratic.
