Thar's oil to be taken care of. Our European pals are calling in some favors and we are goin in for them.

Setting aside the foolishness of just throwing out "war for oil" without providing any evidence, you don't explain why we're blocking Gaddafi's ability to regain control of the country, since Gaddafi kept oil deliveries stable for the Europeans you claim want us to do this. Still, don't let logic get in your way.

As another poster pointed out, you can't just say 'oil' and 'US' in the same sentence and assume some sort of conspiracy. You do actually have to connect the dots.

It's common knowledge that the WMD issue was used to sell the war in Iraq to the public, as it was a concept the average person could get their heads around. The real reasons for the invasion were many and Iraq's oil reserves were certainly one of them.

What does that have to do with Libya? Are you implying that human rights concerns are a charade designed to sell intervention to the public, with the real reason being Libya's oil? Because you're going to need to do a lot more than make one reference to George W. Bush to sell that argument.
