Allen West in Palm Beach says Guantanamo detainees "living it up" at 5 star resort.
Rep. Allen West Delivers Red Meat to Palm Beach Luncheon Crowd

This is from the Sunshine State News which is a right wing blog site...so I don't know if they are agreeing with him or not. More of the story coming...will like to see how they pursue it.

U.S. Rep. Allen West, speaking to the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches on Friday, said it's time America got tough on terrorists and spending.

Reporting on a recent visit for Guantanamo Bay, West said detainees are living it up at a "Five Star Resort."

"They have 21 satellite TV channels, Skype ... the abundance of food is imaginable. They have one medical specialist per 57 detainees," West said.

He has been given such credibility by the media here that Newt Gingrich said he would think about choosing him as a VP running mate in 2012.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said at a Republican Palm Beach County fundraiser that if he won the Republican presidential nomination, he would strongly consider a Floridian as his running mate.

“Allen West would certainly be someone you’d look at,” Gingrich told NBC affiliate WPTV.

West responded, “We don’t know what the future holds, but I’m always willing to serve my country.”

2. Not sure who's worse: West or Bachmann
Either way, I can't believe these people are leading Republicans. I count Rep. West as a leading Republican only because of the amount of attention he has garnered already. Clearly he's good enough for Newt...not that that's saying much...

4. It would be quite a contest.
He'd win on the anti-Muslim part.
