Outgoing county manager gets pay and benefits package

Former county manager George Burgess, who stepped down Thursday, will get hundreds of thousands of dollars in severance, health insurance, and monthly expenses, under his employment contract.

2. It sounds excessive, because there are so many who are living with nothing. This


country is going to hell in a handbasket, thanks to the Grand Old Party. What a shame.

If everyone were doing great, perhaps Burgess' package wouldn't garner any attention. He sure got a sweet deal, didn't he?
