The logic Obama used applies just as equally to Bahrain and Yemen yet we aren't launching
cruise missiles there now are we?

This is why there needs to be DEBATE by Congress, so that all arguments and situations are raised.

This is why this is so egregiously wrong, and if I were a member of Congress I really would not like having the mask ripped away showing my constituents what a rubber stamp the job has become...except even now, the rubber stamp wasn't even removed from the box and USED as a rubber stamp~ the rubber stamp is just sitting, ignored, in the box, gathering dust.

7. We need debate and people, citizens, notifying their Representatives
as to their opinions on this.

I witnessed a citizen ask Kerry about this last weekend, and Kerry did not like the fact that there was no to little support for a no fly zone.

Too bad.

When we the people have to pay for the wars and acts of war, we need to have our opinions solicited; there really shouldn't be a private club where only a few get to decide when we have to pay the bill with lives and tax money( better spent on other things).

Guess they are afraid of hearing from constituents during a season of severe budget cuts that there is always enough money to start another war.

Just shut up and watch, seems to be the message.

3. Start writing to the UN and to Obama
asking for intervention in those places. Can't hurt.

10. I don't want interventions, I want DEBATE, democracy back in this country
when it comes to authorizing war and acts of war.

I know it's a foreign concept to those who are predisposed to give Obama the benefit of the doubt, but I'd be willing to bet everyone here would be SCREAMING if Bush did this

8. The deciding factor was the Libyan people asking for help!
Gaddafi has imported mercenaries from around the world to fight for him regaining power- You have mercenaries against the Libyan people.

9. Did we ask the Security Council to regarding Bahrain and Yemen?
That's the point.

There is no Debate, but the justification used could be used just as equally as well against so called 'allies'...so excuse me if I don't jump on the Obama worshipping bandwagon...I don't war with ANYONE without a full debate by CONGRESS.

Is that too hard to comprehend?

12. hey, maybe you don't war with anyone without a full debate by congress
but you are not commander in chief
so you don't war with anyone even with a full debate by congress

and the war powers act authorized the President to use military force for up to 60 days without congressional authorization

I honestly don't know the details regarding Bahrain or Yemen but if you want it debated I suggest you write your Senators.

11. Gaddafi has interfered with full exploitation of the largest reserve of OIL AND GAS
in Africa for 40 years.

His dabbling in supporting Mandella's ANC, IRA and the like, interfered with proper business
activity. He insisted on open transparent bidding. His unfair terms resulted in most of the profits remaining in Libya.
