A most amazing sight!
I just went out to check the moon, and looked up to see a gigantic V formation of geese flying high overhead. The bottom sides of the geese seemed to reflect the bright moonlight in an eerie iridescent glow that moved across the sky. Had it not been for the honking, I would have thought it was a UFO!

Absolutely beautiful and probably a once in a lifetime event. I think I might be moonstruck!

1. No moon here. Raining cats and dogs. I would have loved to see it. nt

3. Yea, I do
However, my ancient camera would never have been able to capture it. I mean, these geese were very high in the sky. It was so odd to see them at this time of night, but I guess they are taking advantage of the bright moonlight.

4. Geese fly all night long but
whatever, the moon was a cool sight to see. My wife and I just got back from watching it. We drove to a road end on the shore of Lake Huron and watched it rise.

7. Isn't nature wonderful?
It's times like this that I understand why so many people believe in a God.

8. We're at 970ft altitude, moon 1/3 way across horizon to vertical
it's the size of a nickle instead of a dime in my estimation......

12. Dang. My beautiful So Cal
is letting me down tonight. It's early though, with blue skies still, but with lots of clouds. And it's cold and a little windy. It may rain. OTOH, it may just clear up. My fingers are crossed. I've been looking forward to this since first hearing about it.
