Should the United States part with the United Nations? |
|
I notice a lot of people think we should have stayed out of this UN conflict. Does that mean we should leave the UN?

3. No, the UN already does whatever the US tells it to do |
|
So its a good cover to use for anything the US wants to do and act as if the world is behind it 100%.

6. Damn that Eleanor Roosevelt, what could she have been thinking? |

Better to turn the clock back to 1914, because it worked so well the first time.

9. No. The US needs to allow other nations to play a larger role in UN |
|
affairs. We use the UN as our personal rubber stamp and blackmail anyone who gets in our way. If given a true and equal voice, China and Russia would probably have vetoed the resolution.

10. The real question is who should decide the matter of whether the US initiates a state of war |
|
against another sovereign nation that has not attacked us.
Should we authorize the UN to decide which issues justify the sacrifice of our sons and daughters?
Or should we abide by the Constitution which calls for the American People's representatives to make this decision?
There is only one rational choice.

we simply could have abstained and said we wouldn't support it.
Do you think the UN is only about direct conflict intervention?

12. Russia, China, Brazil, Germany, stayed out of the conflict. |
|
And, a whole flock of "lesser" nations. Should they part with the UN?
