Total agreement in a politically mixed group.
Some of us in the neighborhood are liberals, mostly Democrats. Some of us are conservative, some pretty much all the way to teabagger territory.

Last night, at a neighborhood get together, there was total, 100% agreement that the US ought not be invading Libya or any other country. No qualifiers. No equivocations.

2. So what? Something like 90% of the country favored the Iraq invasion prior to the IWR vote.

It seems to me that the informed minority always has all the information. Conservatives and Senate Republicans are all against this move, which should tell you something about who they want to remain in power over there.

6. I think what was said was that informed opinions tend to be correct.
I would agree with them.

15. If mass slaughter can be prevented, that's enough
...as Gadhafi's war machines were poised at the edge of Benghazi, and he promised "no mercy, no pity" on the 600,000 inhabitants. I'm ok with it not being in our national interest, if we can nevertheless contribute something to prevent a slaughter.

12. Darfur is/was horrendous. Like Rwanda. And many others.
Failure to act correctly in past scenarios precludes us from acting correctly in all future scenarios?
