10. It's interesting that I'm already logged in with my Facebook avatar showing.

I joined an Anonymous support group about a week ago with a very similar format. It makes me wonder just who is sponsoring this group and what their real motivations are.

I haven't taken the poll yet. It seems I have already been preselected based upon what "someone" already knows about me, based upon my interests and personality type. I don't necessarily mind that, but I definitely want to know who it is and what their motivations are before I proceed further.

I watched the video. I was excited. I actually cried and said "Oh my god, they get me. This is fantastic." It got to the part where it said "you found your tribe" and then lost it. I have used the word tribe to describe my ideal community many times and I was truly being taken in. I retweeted the video (It has been untweeted), and planned to show it to my husband tonight.

Then I scrolled down and saw a book attached to it that they wanted you to read. And pay for. This irked me a bit, but I read on and semi accepted their strawman justification for the book purchase. It also included a section for people who wanted the book who couldn't pay for it and how they could request a financial assist in getting a copy. This placated me enough to say "Alright, that's fair-ish I guess. The people running this show have to eat too..." So I clicked the join community button... And was met with a membership sign up page that offers 21 days free access.

21 days free access? Yes, I'm afraid that after the first 21 days they want $9.95 a month for you to continue to be a "Wayseer".

Beware - this video with all it's promise and hope is just another Scientology style scam. I imagine Anonymous will be angry with them soon for attempting to scam people out of their money with allusions to being of a similar belief system - and perhaps even an extension - of the Anonymous movement. They most certainly are not.
