It could be worse or better than it is. There's law related to public television, perhaps mostly in the form of regulations. What's the connection between the details of that kind of law and the actual content that appears on public television?

1. It is perfect
No greed involved and that is what pisses the right off.

2. It's what no other cable station will dare to be.
Where else can I watch painting shows and shows about crochet and gardening? Austin City Limits anyone?

I have basic cable and absolutely love that I have three PBS stations to choose from. "PBS Create" is especially good.

3. It's fine as is, but they want it to be like the rest of the lame duh stupid crap on TV so the
masses have no escape from being dumbed down.

4. GlobeTrekker in Iran, This Old House, an hour-long special on the decline of honeybees,
Exploring North Carolina, and as mentioned above, Austin City Limits. Just a sampling of what's been on tap this weekend.

I LOVE the quality of programming on UNC-TV and UNC-Explorer (and no monthly cable bill!).
