Poll question: Who else hates all this sh*t going on in Libya?
Edited on Sun Mar-20-11 02:58 PM by devilgrrl
This is bullshit.

Yes, I'm aware that I am being vague and not doing much to defend my opinion but I will go with what my heart feels and all my heart is feeling is that this is bullshit.

Because it is. And I'm sick of people getting killed over bullshit.... and oil and shit. It's bullshit.

8. This is a humanitarian mission....
will innocent people unfortunately die, yes, but overall it is being done to help the innocent people of Libya live their lives. The ultra liberal DUers will have to be against this because Obama is for it....

11. US Is Not The Policeman Of The World
The United States, last time I checked, was not the policeman of the world.

If the US is going to war in order to help the innocent people of Libya, then where does that end?

What about the innocent people of Darfur? Should the US go to war there?

How about the innocent people of Palestine? Should the US go to war there, too?

And shouldn't the President have at least consulted with the Congress of the US before launching this illegal war??

14. Whatever...
How do you know he has not consulted with congress? Just because you have not heard about consultation does not mean it did not happen (and just because repubs says so does not make it true).

Plus, Obama does not need congressional until 60 days into a military action. So what is the problem. You know it wont hurt you to agree with Obama once in awhile....he wont bite you. hahahaha!

10. Live Penagon briefing on Al Jazeera right now. I am feeling nauseated.
Hyper guy in uniform with a pointer stick showing were our bombs have landed, reading from a script.
It took me immediately back to CNN's coverage of "Shock and Awe" like this was a damn football game replay.

15. I would be much more convinced of our sincere humanitarian intentions
If we had also assisted in the deposing of a mass-murdering despot whose nation had no valuable and ever-scarcer energy commodity beneath his feet, since the turn of the century...:patriot:

18. Gaddafi made it VERY CLEAR
That he has NO intentions of letting the people have freedom without a fight. That narcissistic kid of his Saif said he would rather kill MILLIONS than be deprived of his privileges of brat heir to the throne.

I honestly feel like this is sort of how Iraq should've went down instead of Bush just doing whatever he wanted.

I'm not a fool, we know oil is apart of their motives too, but I'm still happy for the people of Libya standing up and risking their lives for a better future.
