Barack Obama and the Splendid Blond Beast

The depiction of the destruction of pro-Gaddafi forces as 'a grave yard of machines and bodies as far as the eye can see,' --- and of “rebels forces” driving out of Benghazi to kill any of the survivors of the “allied” bombing – brought to mind Nietzsche’s “splendid blond beast.”

Nietzsche called the aristocratic predators of his time, who instituted and profited from society's laws "the splendid blond beast." Societal structures, laws, and the rationalizations allow the Blond Beast to act with the panache and confidence that it is beyond ordinary morality.

The Splendid Beast can elegantly justify the exercise of power at the expense of others.

As Nietzsche noted, when dealing with those “others,” those less “authorized.” the elite powers "revert to the innocence of wild animals.... We can imagine them returning from an orgy of murder, arson, rape and torture, jubilant and at peace with themselves as though they had committed a fraternity prank-convinced, moreover, that the poets for a long time to come will have something to sing about and to praise."

The unabashed brutality of the Splendid Blond Beast, Nietzsche thought, was the real foundation of world order.

Thus the Splendid Blond Beast postures in Libya today. Trotting out the well honed rationalizations packaged in the MSM gift wrap of manipulations that manufacture consent. For the Splendid Beast if it all perfectly moral to tell the pro-Gaddafi forces to withdraw from the City knowing that you are going to kill them all as the sit in the dessert. There is no issue “fair fight” as use use advanced weapons to wipe out thousands as you sit in you modern war machines out of harm’s way. It’s all legal.

“Qatar will send some jets,” says the Splendid Beast, in pretence that this is somehow representative of Arab participation (not mentioning that US Central Command forward headquarters is the Al Udeid Air Base, Doha, Qatar).

“The Arab League called for it “ they say (Not noting that new “Arab League” has been cleansed of most of the anti-western sentiments post Gulf War 1 and Gulf War 2 or that Western objectives go far beyond even what the anti-Gaddafi potentates support. Not noting that the present Arab League comprised mostly authoritarian governments that Gaddafi has opposed. Not noting that they tried to get African Union support and was strongly rebuffed).

And, of course, the” UN Security Council Voted”, and created International Law that must be obeyed (Not noting that the Security Council was created by the western powers to provide the sanction and cover that allow then to impose their will on the world. That same Security Council that and usually votes UNANIMOUSLY (15 to 0) if there is truly concensus opinion among the powers. Not acknowledging that world opinion is more reasonably reflected in a request for a UN General Assembly Vote).

Now Barack Obama goes along with the hypocritical Western Leadership gasps of “massacre,” “murderous,” “blood-thirsty” to describe the enemy, not considering that the fighting evidenced has not gone beyond the bounds of the viciousness typical of Civil Wars, whether in Europe, Asia, Africa or the Americas.

He mutter the usual script about “world opinion,” “humanitarian needs,” “demands of the international community,” and “United Nations Mandate,” as he readies to kill whoever need to be killed, in whatever quantity to impose the self-interested objectives of the Powers That Be.

It is all part of Barack Hussein Obama’s capitulation to the Splendid Blond Beast.

7. David Hume could out-consume Schopenhauer and Hegel,
And Wittgenstein was a beery swine
Who was just as schloshed as Schlegel.

There's nothing Nietzche couldn't teach ya
'Bout the raising of the wrist.

Socrates, himself, was permanently pissed.
