Tea party invites GOP 2012 hopefuls to summit, but not Bachmann

The Americans for Prosperity Foundation, a tea party-affiliated group funded by the Koch brothers, will hold a summit in New Hampshire next month. Among attendees will be some familiar names with buzz about trying for the Republican nomination for the 2012 nomination.

Tim Pawlenty will be in attendance, as will Rick Santorum.

Haley Barbour, Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich have all been invited, but it is not confirmed whether they will be attending.

Not attending, and not invited: Head of the Congressional tea party caucus, Rep. Michele Bachmann.

7. Bachmann and Romney are probably

looked at as being uncontrollable. Romney has plenty of his own cash and owes his values, fealty, whatever to the Mormon Church so is not easily controlled by Koch, et al and their money. Bachmann because well there is just some crazy that no one can control no matter how much money you throw its way. The list of invitees are those that most people know can be controlled pretty well with cash.

9. I hope every time

someone refers to Americans for Prosperity or any of the other front groups, they use the "Koch-funded" adjective. People need to understand just how far they grasp; and the teabaggers need to begin to see how they're being used by a couple of uber-wealthy, greedy, mean barbarians who don't care any more about them than they do about the teachers and nurses and farmers of Wisconsin.
