7. it seemed like most discussion of the power restoration effort.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=704136&mesg_id=704266

but the translation didn't allow me to clearly distinguish the meaning; power hookup to exactly which part & deconnection from what unclear.

6. i came in a little late on that. i believe it was the japan nuclear agency rep.

here's what i got from the english translation on nhk world of what i heard. I omitted parts where i didn't understand what i was hearing rather than guess at the meaning:

They are working on the power; testing & replacing parts that were ruined in the disaster. They buy these or get them from spare parts at other facilities.

They expect to have partial power restored to the central control room (i think the control room for the entire facility) today 4 pm.

Because the temperatures & radiation levels are down they believe the water-pouring operation is working.

it will probably be repeated on nhk & the same news should be coming out on the wires right now.

some discussion going on here now:

8. I heard that part on NHK
I should have been more specific.
The feed I could not load was the Yokoso one.
The audio on the Yokoso one is working now, but I'm not sure who is talking.
