5. I caught the NHK scroll:
The Nuclear Safety Agency says the Tokyo Electric Power Company informed the agency about 4:30 PM that gray smoke is coming up from the No. 3 reactor building of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

no change of radiation after the gray smoke came out.

radiation readings have remained in same range 35 minutes after smoke broke out -- he (katz) gave exact figures but i didn't catch them they were in range of 2000 microsieverts

7. They just connected the power line to this reactor.
And the Tokyo Fire Department poured water into this reactor for 6.5 hours yesterday. Maybe one or both of these things have something to do with the smoke.

8. Steam would be white, so they eliminated it.
The line may be connected but the power isn't, so this isn't electrical. If the heat of those areas melted the power line and that's what the smoke is...(is that even possible?) then it would make getting the electricity to work harder.
