Ah. I feel better. The talking points are coming together. MSNBC, just a few moment ago, had . . . . |
|
Willie Geist, the very embodiment of Walter Cronkite, interviewing Pentagon beat reporter and paragon of honesty, that modern day Ernie Pyle, Jim Miklaszewski.
Lots of serious sounding talk, the gist of all of it being "We got dragged, kicking and screaming, to oh-so-reluctantly bomb the fuck out of Libya. Poor us. Poor, poor poor President Obama."
So that's it.
We didn't wanna do it. We got punked into it.
I took notes. I'll do better at this falling into line stuff, I promise.

Hey, I even heard that we are going to start giving oil to Libya just to show how reluctant we were with all of this.

Omigawd. I heard that.
A bipartisan multilateralist.
Have we stopped being "The World's Only Superpower" led by "The Most Powerful Man On Earth?" Come on. Which is it? You can't have it both ways. Well, you can, but people will laugh.

5. I don't think we were or are all that reluctant. The U.S. has been |

preparing for weeks before the firing of the first missile. Under the guise of humanitarianism ________________________.....fill in the blank. Something stinks. Before I get bombarded, just remember this is only imho.

13. Does anyone believe Obama wanted to go to war with Libya? |

I know I don't.
Unlike Bush Co. which had a war with Iraq planned before he even made it into office.

23. Lulz, a better question would be does anyone believe Obama did not |
|
want to go to war with Libya. I mean, really. Why would he NOT want to do that? Elections are coming up. The country is in shit shape. Congress can't decided which social programs to cut the most. Yet, there is always more than enough money for bombs. The flashy graphics are already appearing on the complicit news networks.
But, no, I'm not falling in line sufficiently. By golly, we should all be so :patriot: and believe whatever bullshit they shovel toward us. We don't need no steenking Social Security or Medicare. Just make more bombs and make us all proud to be Americans. :patriot:

If you remember the golden rule of MIC 101: Never believe the lies they tell you...you will start to be much less confused over time. Later on, you will start to see through it right away the minute they tell you the next batch of lies.
It gets better.

I'm having a tough time with the whole "falling in line" thing too. I've seen too much bullshit through the years to believe our government really gives two shits about democracy.
Remember: "Falling in line" means working really really really hard to appear that you don't have to pretend to overlook the fact that the U.S. Congress can't seem to agree on which much needed social programs to cut the most for our budget at home. Yet, by God, there is ALWAYS MORE than enough money for bombs. No questions asked. After all, March is a prime time to start another war what with all our tax dollars starting to trickle in and their big payday being April 15th for the rest. :woohoo: more money to build and drop more bombs. I can almost see them all doing happy dances in their offices with the doors closed. I can't stop thinking about Slim Pickens riding an A-bomb in that movie either. I swear I wish some doctors and lawyers would get together and form a front operation that appears to the U.S. government to be a bomb making factory, then funnel all the money from the cushy contracts into helping people behind Congress' back.
