NBC's Lee Cowan on Hardball re: situation at Fukushima |
|
"Then all of a sudden we have smoke coming from reactor #2. They weren't sure what it was. They evacuated the workers. About two hours later the smoke dissipated. They thought everything was ok but then more smoke started coming from reactor #2. They still don't know exactly what it was. They don't think it was from that spent fuel pool however. There are a lot of things that could be burning in there that aren't necessarily radioactive. But the radioactive readings did spike and so that's why they had to pull everybody back."
An example of the wing-it bullshit being pumped out of our media. "They weren't sure what it was," BUT "they don't think it was from that spent fuel pool". "There are a lot of things that could be burning in there that aren't necessarily radioactive," BUT "the radioactive readings did spike".
Jeez.

the best on this is the Rachel Maddow show.
It is like this morning on NPR...
Talking of the milk and spinach.
It is like a ctscan.
Will the workers at the plant be affected?
No.
We have already a record of 67 acute exposures to radiation.
By the way he also made a comment about the agencies beting very paternalistic and people not trusting them...
It is bad... lazy coverage for starters
