Kucinich did not push for impeachment of Bush- why so fast to jump on Obama?
Activists pressured Kucinich to introduce articles of Impeachment of Bush for years before he finally acted in 2008.

(Please ask David Swanson if you do not believe me)

Why is he so fast to jump on Obama now....what is going on in his mind?

Or, you could post your question in Ask the Administrators

12. And even with Cheney, it took years to convince him to do anything about it
If he wanted to Impeach Obama for continuing illegal wiretapping...hey I'm right behind him.

If he wants to Impeach Obama for torture...I'm there.

But he is not going after these obvious violations to the Constitution.

16. Kucinich is facing a very difficult election, and says outrageous things...
so the left will back him with lots of money in order to make sure his progressiveness is re-elected. I think the correct phrase is doubling down on crazy.

Republicans have done the same thing with the Tea party, states rights, Obama's birth certificate, and their complete insanity against Unions and religious intolerance.

He hasn't jumped on Obama. He has not called for impeachment nor has he said he should be impeached.

23. It isn't as though they need his prodding. The bottom line is
no Congress of either party would impeach a president of either party of this. This is old practice now. This constitutional issue is largely irrelevant from decades of ignoring it.

22. He went after Cheney first, 4-07
Introduced articles of Impeachemnt. Even that was a no-go! He was alone on even THAT!
I liked Obama's action but after learning Chomsky feels Libya was a bad action, I'm rethinking.

Kucinich puts off effort to impeach Bush
Published: Monday, January 28, 2008, 4:52 PM Updated: Monday, January 28, 2008, 5:28 PM
By Jean Dubail, The Plain Dealer

After promising last week that he'd mark President Bush's final "State of the Union" speech today by introducing articles of impeachment against Bush, Cleveland Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich announced he's postponing the effort.

Kucinich said he met with members of the House Judiciary Committee after making last week's impeachment pledge on the House of Representatives floor, and came away "hopeful there will be an inquiry by the Judiciary Committee."

"I will give them the opportunity to proceed before introducing articles of impeachment," Kucinich said in a statement issued by his office. The House Judiciary Committee's spokeswoman did not respond to The Plain Dealer's request for comment.

Last year, Kucinich introduced a measure to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney that has collected 24 cosponsors. His November effort to bring the matter before the full House of Representatives won support from Republicans who wanted to embarrass House Democratic leaders, but was eventually referred to the Judicary Committee.
