Bern's selling bottle of wine for $30,000
TAMPA --

The senior sommelier at Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa recently found a rare bottle of wine in the restaurant's cellar, and he plans to put it up for sale.

The double magnum 1947 bottle of Chateau Latour will be the most expensive bottle of wine for sale in the restaurant's history.

"We're going to sell that bottle for $30,000," the sommelier, Eric Renaud, said. "You're drinking history. You're drinking something that's no longer going to be available ever again."

Customers will be able to purchase the rare bottle of wine in early January. That's when the 61st edition of Bern's wine list is released.

Renaud found the pricey bottle of Chateau Latour as he was organizing Bern's rare and valuable wine room this past spring.

5. Sadly, someone will easily pay the price for this bottle of wine.
Isn't it a symbol of what's wrong in this country? I wouldn't doubt that the buyer has benefited from government bailouts. C'est la vie!
