I got sick of that when Dubya was in office. Personally, I'm too concerned with the nuclear disaster that is getting worse, but the news no longer finds profitable to talk about.

21. there are many examples.... |
|
I will give you only ONE example right now....with regard to Gittmo, Obama issued an executive order to close it, made plans for its closure but congress will not fund the closure of Gittmo....time after time Congress (including dems in congress) would not fund it closure....Obama is not a wealthy enough man to close Gittmo on his own out of his own pocket....a few weeks back Stewart made it look asd though Obama changed his mind on clising Gittmo and broke his promise.
The liberals never blame congress for legislation shortcomings, never the DINOs, the weak dems in congress, but only Obama....crazy!

35. I don't think that works. |
|
Congress doesn't have to give him special funds if Obama wants to play hardball. He damned sure had the authority to order 100+ missiles to be launched without a special funding authorization from Congress.
Perhaps you could show precisely how, as commander in chief, he can't transfer troops anywhere he thinks they should be assigned, including all the troops at GITMO.
The problem is he hasn't got the backbone to fight for a principle, not that he can't get funding.

Just not vote to fund Gitmo? Just a thought. I remember when they were pretending to consider not funding the Iraq war, I read they would have to use the money left to withdraw. Wouldn't the same apply?

18. Note how his entire argument is based around Jon "bashing" Obama, and then when questioned |
|
he denies that's the reason, and throws in some vague reference to Jon getting his "facts" wrong. When questioned for a single example, he vacates the thread and is never heard from again. Talk about hero worship.

31. Have you thought about applying to be a mod? |
|
Then you could have influence on posts like this one if you think it should be in the lounge.
I have seen many Jon Stewart posts in General Discussion though, I think its because he is a comedian that talks about current political events.
But maybe you should petition to get all Jon Stewart related posts moved into the lounge from now on if it bothers you so.

A lot of posts criticize Obama for being too far to the Right, which he definitely is, yet when people point it out they are thrown under the bus. Nader,Stewart, Kucinich. I don't get it.

|
I could go on and on with Telecommmunications law, banking laws, ignoring dying people in Africa and doing nothing cause of the political risks, trade deals, that DOMA shit, etc..., etc....
Yep...Obama will have to "right" a whole lot of Clinton gone-wrong shit till it ain't even funny.
