I've changed my mind... it's PALIN.
Palin. Dim, polarizing, radical, extreme and most notably "screechy".

No chance of winning, unelectable, inconcievable and unlikely?
Well I now believe she will be the 2012 pub nominee.

1) pubs play better obstruction than construction. They can hold the House with a Palin at the top of the ticket.

2)the state of the nation is too crappy for a mainstream pub to win on their usual plank.

3)pubs can't galvanize enough support for ONE person other than Palin. Basically Palin is supported by 40% of pubs and the others split the majority.

4)why do people vote "Mickey Mouse" on a ballot? Anger and disgust with the options. Palin is the write-in vote for Mickey.

5)support for Palin can be translated as "Git out da WHITE HOUSE, boy."

6)don't discount the mass media effect. Bristol couldn't dance but she went to the finals, why? It planted people in front of the TV.

7)and "operation lmao" where dems and indies vote for her in open primaries.

So... Palin runs but gets crushed. Pubs hold House and pick up a couple Senate seats. And 4more years of nothing getting done.

I MUST say... This is going to be awfully fun to watch.

1. It would be painful to watch. Seeing the RW MSM go on about how she won a debate,
etc... And God forbid--what if the machines are rigged and she wins? Then what? All the comedy in the world won't make me feel comfortable with that potential outcome.

Tom Tomorrow is so great, thanks for posting this one.

2. I suppose it's possible
All those points are well thought out and can, if they all occur, allow for enough critical mass to make her the candidate. That's a lot of planets that have to be in perfect alignment though............

3. "Palin is the write-in vote for Mickey."
That was funny.

4. she would be the next logical step in the devolution of GOP candidates: Reagan, Baby Bush...
I thought the next link would be a dirty gym sock, but Palin is roughly equivalent.

5. I watched a body language bit on Discovery yesterday
and they had a wee bit about tone of voice. apparently that shrill skreech generally makes one distrust the speaker. for me, it was the number one turn off. my question is, just how does she make that many people tune in and love her? what does that say about the 25% of our citizens who follow her like she's a goddess? The program used Obama's musical presentation of his very effective speaches. the contrast is amazing and for me, mind numbing.

6. She's one gigantic suicide tablet.
The Republicans swallowed her in 2008. Would they be dumb enough to do it again?

7. It sounds like they are getting really desperate to get Obama re-elected.
Remember the good cop/bad cop scenario. We don't actually have a two-party system but only the illusion or "perception" of one. And there are so many dillusioned progressives out there--me, for example--who are threatening to write in Bernie Sanders in 2012.

Who just might constitute a serious threat to Obama, given the scope of the backlash against the Shock Doctrine.

Sarah Palin as the Repuke candidate would be a sheer desperation measure.

10. Interesting theory! But what about this:
If she is running she will really increase Democratic turnout.

11. The repigs want to toss the election to Obama. This way they would discredit Palin and protect
their more traditional people for 2016. It's possible.

12. She's been dropping like a rock in all of the polls
Including among republicans. The Twenty-Percenters with no visible brainscan are her only die-hard supporters. If her popularity drops any more, she'll be in the negative numbers.

As bad as all of the others in line for the R nomination are, Snooki is toxic and they know it.
