No wonder he is out there talking bullshit. Desperately trying to get noticed for a career boost.

Maybe someone knows better but I don't recall him being quite the pig he is now when he was wango tangoing back in the day? :) Bigmouth, oh yes, but full on pig?

Bat Out of Hell came out in '77.

You must be thinking of Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell.

Who thought THAT title was a good idea?

13. Wait, what, none of those was caused by the Evil Downloads?
How can it be? The RIAA told me every time you download a song without paying, an angel loses his wings, an artist becomes a pillar of salt, and Al Qaeda gets a new shoulder-mounted missile launcher!

Good ole Lars :)

I've seen clips of those clowns throwing out their first record to the crowd in club days. They begged the crowd to take them home, tape them and hand them out to anyone and everyone.

Hypocrites:)

16. The 3 myths of being a musician
Edited on Tue Mar-22-11 02:51 PM by wtbymark
1) you get all the girls (you're always the last one to leave the venue, nobody's hanging out till 3am for you)
2) you never have to work (after a gig, when the truck's loaded, you feel like a football team ran over you)
3) you make a ton of money (well, let me clear my throat and laugh a bit)

17. That's called bad deals, bad managers, in some cases, bad choices and tax evasion.
Watch the Behind the Music on Badfinger or Jim Croce. This band and this brilliant songwriter got fisted by their manager and label, respectively, and didn't receive dick for all the money they were making them. Jim's reward for this shit treatment is dying in a plane crash. Two members of Badfinger committed suicide due to the stress of squalor despite having charted hits.

This story gets repeated far too often in the Music Business. A more modern example would be Victory records and just about every artist they screw under their employ, particularly Hawthorne Heights.

You just simply cannot trust ANYone in this industry but yourself. DIY is flourishing nowadays (at the cost of ever having "Led Zeppelin" success and wealth), but at least you won't end up like Badfinger and living in poverty on friends' couches despite being on Apple records and having 4 Top Ten hits.
