11. I never said they are the same. Both interventions are wrong, yes.
But they are not the same.

17. Are you doing whatever you can to raise awareness about Iraq
Are you exposing the lies to everyone you know?

This focus on Obama and Libya is playing right into the corporate media's hands.

We need to stop allowing them to lead us down the path to hell.

We have to start leading with our own issues, our own memes....like the people of Wisconsin!

13. work to end the war, work to expose the lies
comparing Iraq and Libya is muddling the situation.

Anyone who thinks there are the same was not paying attention in the run up to the war in Iraq.

Because if we don't expose these bastards, they will use their 'liberal' media to steal the elections again and attack Iran next time. Jeb anyone?

8. I support US forces withdrawing not only from Iraq but
also Afghanistan. It clearly isn't working, and lets save billions of dollars by getting out now.

I'm sick of the US trying to control the whole world when we have so many problems at home.

9. What? How should one go about that?
I protest. I write LTTE. I write my elected officials.

What else am I supposed to be doing?

In principle, yes I am just as opposed to war in Iraq as I am to war in Afghanistan as I am to war in Libya as I am to war anywhere-the-fuck else.

15. We need to DEMAND that charges are brought up against the Bush administration
We need to find someone willing to pursue the case

I am having a hard time believe that real antiwar people are more angry about Libya than Iraq.

16. Real antiwar people are equally angry about Libya and Iraq...
... however, we have a President who doesn't have a problem with either.

If I am not a lawyer, how can I help besides donating money... which I'm a little short on these days.

20. something about your question is wrong
I can't quite put my finger on it, but it implies that continued war in Iraq and Afghanistan is the responsibility of peace activists not working hard enough to stop it.

No. War (and its terrors, atrocities, and tragedies) is the responsibility of those who wage it and those who support it.

It doesn't continue because peace activists aren't working hard enough to stop it.

It continues because those who support it don't give a damn about anything but blood, gore, looting, empire, superiority, profit, blahblahblah.

21. If we don't continue to demand accountability...who will?
If we don't fight to end this bullshit, who will?

I see so many people putting their energy into screaming about Libya...haven't heard a peep about Iraq around here.

Ignoring it or pretending it is the same as Libya is not helpful at all.
