John Boehner's crying OFFENDS me
Seriously, I'm a woman and when I cry I am deride as weak and not able to take on big challenges.

I know that if Nancy Pelosi or Hillary Clinton cried they would be mocked by the right-wing media.

Hell if Sarah Palin cried they'd probably treat it the same way they would treat Nancy and Hillary.

And to make matters worse - those tears are some of the fakest tears I've seen.

2. He needs a good solid knee in the nuts so he would have something REAL to cry about.
Besides, if they were REAL tears, they would smear the Kraft Mac&Cheese chemical-orange Oompa-Loompa powder.

I think it's apt.

12. He's mean, too.
Which goes without saying, given his political leanings. ;)

10. Dean cheered, and an election was decided.
Dukakis put on a hat, and was destroyed.

Disgusting. And by disgusting, I refer to national dialog, and how it is created and manipulated.

6. It offends me too. He looks foolish, childish and false.
We all know the story of his life. Many of us have had a similar upbringing. We do not cry when we think about it. Some of us were abused. Still we do not cry. We get over it.

This man is either unbalanced or he thinks his theater is appreciated.

He looks and sounds like a fool. It scares me to think of him with even more power. Will he cry when the stuff hits the fan? Will he break down and spew tears when he cannot have his way?

The man is way over his orange head. Speaking thereof, does he not know that Americans see that artificial skin color as unattractive? I wonder if he cries whenever he sees or hears a negative comment about it.

7. I think they're real tears
that he cries as he is coming off his drunken bender. The way he works his face and moves his mouth looks like the way a drunk does.

I recall that HRC became emotional and she was definitely mocked by some.

9. i disagree about sarah palin. imagine her welling up at the playing of the national anthem.
they'd portray it as a compelling and deep love for her country.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.

money excuses everything in the political minds of the powers that be.

if a democratic president had done one-tenth the fuck-ups that shrub did, they'd have been run out of town on a rail. can you imagine what the media would have done if new orleans had been left to drown by a democratic president? or if a democrat had been president when a spy plane crash landed in the lap of the chinese? hell, what about 9/11? they would have impeached gore for not doing enough after that briefing warning of an impending attack on american soil.

sure, they're more than happy to carefully play on sexist or racist or otherwise bigotted stereotypes and double-standards WHEN IT SUITS THEM, but they're also happy to ignore them when it's convenient as well. i don't remember anyone ever describing clarence thomas as "urban".

11. I don't think it's an act. I think there's something seriously wrong with that guy.
But it's not a man-woman thing. Remember Ed Muskie?

Republicans can get away with it because it makes people think that their sociopathic policies have some other motivation than their inherent sociopathy.

I guess if a politician is a Republican pampered alcoholic he gets a pass?

17. Just imagine Nancy saying "Knock it off, or I'll give you something to cry about."
In public and on camera would be preferable.

Would he become hysterical, or immediately shut off the waterworks? Would Glenn Beck or Rush call child services on his behalf?

19. Hillary got a little misty eyed during the primaries and was torn apart by Democrats.
For some reason the tears that are seen as a weakness in a woman are seen as proving that a man is human. Go figure.
