My ltte on help for military families printed today... of course, being voted down
This is one time I'd love to use the F word to describe the True patriots that are my neighbors.

Few are aware that we remain at war.

There are currently three hundred and nine million Americans.

Of these, one million Americans are currently on active duty military and one million are National Guard.

Many of these troops have seen multiple war zone deployments in both Iraq AND Afghanistan.

Many troops leave behind spouses and children when they are deployed.

This list of resources is dedicated to them.

1. Military Homefront

http://www.militaryhomefront.dod.mil/

• Offers resources provided by the DoD for military families.

2.Heroes to Hometowns (H2H)

http://www.legion.org/heroes

• Establishes a support network and coordinates resources for severely injured service members returning home. It is overseen by the American Legion.

3. USA4MilitaryFamilies Initiative

http://www.usa4militaryfamilies.dod.mil/portal/page/mhf/USA4/HOMEPAGE_V3

• Seeks to work with the states to remove unnecessary barriers and significantly improve the quality of life for military families.

4. Military Onesource

http://www.militaryonesource.com

• Provides many resources for active duty military, their spouses and children. These resources include financial, legal and health-care related resources for service members and families.

5.TEA Resources for Military families in Texas

http://www.tea.state.tx.us

• Provides resources for school enlistment and recommendations for Texas school-age military dependents.

6. The Military Family Research Institute of Purdue University

http://www.mfri.purdue.edu

• Provides resources for support and help for military families.

I want to reinforce our nation’s support for the military AND their families. Know that you are not forgotten by a grateful nation.

1. Sorry, this is a good effort.
What do you mean, "voted down"? By other letter writers?

of course, they support the war- they don't actually have anyone affected by it...
