5. Here in La Crosse, WI Obama got 69% of the vote, 61% in the county,

but you would never know it by reading the comments in our local paper. The right wing has pretty much overwhelmed the left in the comments section and manage to tag any story with anti-Obama and anti-liberal comments. It seems to be that way in many other places as well where the choir from the right knows their songs well and sings them over and over.
