9. I had a comment about Lewis Black on The Daily Show moved to the
Lounge last night. Don't know why because it was politics related and belonged in GD. But deaths of non-political celebrities actually should be in the Lounge.

4. The debt we all must pay.
Rich, poor, beautiful, not so beautiful. The great equalizer.

She lived an extraordinary life. If there is an after-life there is one helluva party going on right about now.

RIP Elizabeth.

5. Sad. I can't wrap my head around the fact that she was 79 but Shatner is 80.
Shatner did not appear in my consciousness until I was about 12 or 13. I remember Liz as the first popular media personality in my brain.

12. You know, when I read the other day that Shatner is 80, I didn't believe it.
My first memory of Shatner was in Twilight Zone but it turns out he was working steadily for 10 prior to that.

8. Congestive heart failure...same thing that killed my mom
"a condition with which she had struggled for many years. Though she had recently suffered a number of complications, her condition had stabilized and it was hoped that she would be able to return home. Sadly, this was not to be."

That could have been written about my mom. R.I.P., Ms. Taylor.

15. The most beautiful woman in the world
My mother loved her. Whenever the gossip mongers would attack Liz, mom would say: "They're just jealous because they've never been considered one of the most beautiful women in the world."

Love you Liz. Miss you Mom.
