Because that seems like his only reason why he's against lynching.

it's almost like he knows there are a lot of others that aren't tossing rocks. Yep, the klan in Florida had bake sales and raised money for the local NAACP most weekends. Especially in places like Sebring, Lake Wales, Largo and countless other backroad towns.
