Fox Nation Shamelessly Brings Up “Sex Change” In Article About Socialist Politician

Fox Nation posted an article on its website Monday that appeared to be an attempt to conflate a German politician’s gender-reassignment surgery with her political evolution from being a member of the neo-Nazi party to becoming a candidate for the socialist Left party.

The headline, which reads “Former Neo-Nazi Becomes Leftist After Sex Change,” seems to imply that her surgery was connected to or somehow prompted the political shift.

Language matters, and Fox’s blatant transphobia, intentional or otherwise, only aggravates the considerable hardships faced by thousands of transgender Americans who experience prejudice and discrimination every day.
