Surviving Chernobyl Cleaner: 'Tell The People Of Japan To Run!'
Natalia Manzurova, a surviving Chernobyl "Liquidator"

Natalia Manzurova, now 59, has suffered a variety of ailments since she worked at Chernobyl,
but she says she is the only member of her team still alive.

EXCERPT...

What message do you have for Japan?

Run away as quickly as possible. Don't wait. Save yourself and don't rely on the government because the government lies. They don't want you to know the truth because the nuclear industry is so powerful.

When you were called to go to Chernobyl, did you know how bad it was there?

I had no idea and never knew the true scope until much later. It was all covered in secrecy. I went there as a professional because I was told to -- but if I was asked to liquidate such an accident today, I'd never agree. The sacrifices the Fukushima workers are making are too high because the nuclear industry was developed in such a way that the executives don't hold themselves accountable to the human beings who have to clean up a disaster. It's like nuclear slavery.

1. "Nuclear slavery"
Wow.

Ya know, most of us still have the idea that the government cares about its people.
Despite hundreds of years of history to the contrary.

6. Plutonium for the Plutocrats
From somewhere in the bowels the United States of Slavery:

Pluto was the guardian of the world of the dead.
Plutocracy is government of the wealthy.
The times are becoming about the worst of both worlds.

2. #1 problem with nuclear power is that the truth will never, ever be told about it.
EVER. It's disgusting.

How can you track the time it takes to damage a person's health? How do you prove it? Why the hell not just lie?

7. Even when told, people act as if they've been brainwashed...
...Instead of getting angry, they accept it as just another thing.

More than a few people have stood up, though. Some, like Karen Silkwood and Dorothy Lagarreta paid the highest price. Incredible people, who cared.

Incredible story from Ms. Manzukova. Here's what the experts outside of Japan are finding:

17. Confirms that she knew, from first-hand experience, that they were likely lying, or
else they didn't know the extent of the problem, but claimed they did (and, ergo, that the level of radiation being released was 'harmless'). I hope someone took her advice. Would hate to think that the work experience of rank-and-file veterans like her count for nothing against nuclear 'experts'.

4. Liability - liability - liability!
That is all that matters in environmental disasters whether is is wartime injuries (Agent Orange), 9/11, Katrina etc.

People are replaceable commodities.

This is the most powerful statement of that case I have ever seen.

5. Exactly. Why do TEPCO employees have to fight this thing practically alone?
Nuclear slavery. Once you're in, you have to die for the company.

...in the desert of conflicting, watered-down, confusing stories on this subject.

Anyone with their eyes open can see that the nuclear industry is purposely quelling the truth
and any meaningful reporting on this issue. It's just disgusting!

This woman points out that the effects of nuclear radiation take a while to happen. That's why
all of these, "Oh, it's not THAT bad" articles are ABSURD beyond belief. The damage has not
been realized yet. We don't even know if these reactors will explode or the amounts of radiation
they will leak or the metals that will be released. Yet, we're told--in the middle of a situation
that becomes more dire by the day--that all is well!

And the latest bullshit from Ann Coulter and others---that radiation is not bad for you--is
nothing but shameless propaganda handed down by the corporations. Coulter is
also mocking anyone who is concerned about the radiation. Nice. Anyone who dares to question
a nuclear meltdown and worries about their children or themselves being exposed to radiation is
attacked and made to feel ashamed.

This really is sick!!!

I hope more truth like this gets out there. The average Joe believes the muck coming from the MSM.

9. I think that the Fukushima 50 know *exactly* what danger they're in
I'm willing to bet that those brave guys trying to save the reactor know exactly what danger they're in. They're on a suicide mission, and they volunteered for it.

The general population, OTOH, is fucked. I have an acquaintance who is stationed at Misawa AFB, and they're talking about evacuating the base. I'm pretty sure that family members will be evaced soon, if not already.

12. "It's why the nuclear industry is dangerous. They want to deny the dangers. "
Not just the nuke industry but any government that's been infiltrated by corporations. In some cases, it's the government itself.

Why did you go back to Chernobyl after getting a thyroid tumor?

Right around the time of my operation, the government passed a law saying the liquidators had to work for exactly 4 1/2 years to get our pension and retire. If you left even one day early, you would not get any benefits.

Really? That seems beyond cruel.

It's why the nuclear industry is dangerous. They want to deny the dangers. They kept changing the law about what benefits we'd get because if they admitted how much we were affected, it would look bad for the industry. Now we hardly get any benefits.

My heart aches for her.
