1. That's a helluva post. What struck me was the amount of manufacturing that's been wrecked since

2000. Everyone is familiar with the factory shutdowns of the late 70s and 80s, but to see how there was still a workable base even into the 21st century that has since fallen apart makes me sick. Much of it was deliberate; much of it was straight out of the Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs.
