This bill is bullshit for a multitude of reasons (all well articulated in the article), but does it in any way infringe on First Amendment rights?

I grew up on a farm where we had dairy cattle, beef cattle, commercial egg production and a variety of crops. I am well aware that ***some*** in the agricultral industry abuse their animals. However, that is ***not*** a universal practice. I've known commercial egg producers for nearly 50 years and I have never once seen an operation where the chickens were confined to live their lives out in cages. All of the poultry had the ability to roam about - and weather permitting they had the ability to be outside in a secure area affording protection from predators. My family produced hatchery eggs. Our flock had not been sexed and we had a full complement of poultry of both sexes. It is ignorant to paint ***all*** farmers with the same broad brush and imply that all commercial farming operations are inhumane to the animals.
