Indiana prosecutor quits over e-mail sent to Walker

An Indiana deputy prosecutor and Republican activist resigned Thursday after the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism published an e-mail in which he suggested faking an attack on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

Carlos F. Lam submitted his resignation shortly after the Center published a story quoting his Feb. 19 e-mail, which praised Walker but went on to say that the situation in Wisconsin presented “a good opportunity for what’s called a ‘false flag’ operation.”

“If you could employ an associate who pretends to be sympathetic to the unions’ cause to physically attack you (or even use a firearm against you), you could discredit the unions,” the email said.

The e-mail also said: "Currently, the media is painting the union protest as a Democratic uprising and failing to mention the role of the DNC and umbrella union organizations in the protest. Employing a false flag operation would assist in undercutting any support that the media may be creating in favor of the unions. God bless, Carlos F. Lam."

Ind. prosecutor admits encouraging Wis. governor to fake attack on himself to discredit unions

A deputy prosector in Johnson County, Indiana, has resigned his job after it was revealed that in February, during the large protests in Wisconsin over Gov. Scott Walker's anti-public employee union bill, he e-mailed Walker's office and recommended that they conduct a "false flag operation" -- to fake an assault or assassination attempt on Walker in order to discredit the unions and protesters.

6. They probably went ahead and did it, too
Anonymous "death threats" were sent to Republican legislators here:

http://nation.foxnews.com/politics/2011/03/10/wisconsin-republicans-get-death-threats

"...death threats have been pouring in to Gov. Scott Walker in Wisconsin, and now Truth About Bills has found a threatening letter to Wisconsin Republican Senators. ( via 620 WTMJ )

On March 9th 2011 this letter containing death threats was sent from a group of people to the Republican Wisconsin Senators, after passing a bill to end union bargaining rights on Wednesday night. At this time the sender has been kept anonymous pending further police investigation..."

Yeah, right. That sounds like someone from our side...

7. What a douchebag!
They should go back over every case he has ever prosecuted and look to see if he fabricated any evidence to get a conviction on someone. It sounds like something he would do.

12. Oh, shouldn't it though?
Instead, every last little burp and fart out of the Republican Noise Machine gets billboarded, wall-to-wall coverage in the first flush (viz. James O'Keefe). Any journalist with a nose for news would suspect it in a second, which I suppose explains why the news organizations currently trying to fill so much air time run nonsense the way they do. ZOMG! Gov. Walker's getting threats! From union thugs! They're practically terrorists! Aaaaaahhh! PH34R! (Lather, rinse repeat for three or four news cycles) What? It's not true? Oh. Sry.
