How Many Steps Away ???
The "Pro-Life" Party is threatening to take food away from kids and families of poor working folk, whose numbers continue to grow.

It's always been a question of what do you do with all the "extra people".

You know... the people we don't really need (or care for) anymore.

Charles Dickens had it as, "Are there no prisons, are there no workhouses?"

Later...

Hitler (among others)...

Are there no gas chambers, are there no crematoriums?

Too far you say???

At what point do we point out the similarities?

1. And they want to take away contraception as well
and defund Planned Parenthood (started by Republican women).

Just a bunch of hypocrites on everything.

2. I've thought about Dickens for a long time, and see all the similarities.
At Christmas I wonder how so many people can go see Christmas Carol, and just not get it.

The demonization of homeless people has been so complete that even "progressives" aren't interested in learning the true facts.

4. Paraphrasing George Carlin, Who I Think Had It Right...
"The Rich do none of the work, and pay none of the taxes,

the Middle-Class, does all of the work and pays all of the taxes,

And the Poor are just there to scare the shit out of the Middle-Class."

IOW - Fuck with us (the Rich) and we'll make you poor.

3. As a member of the Underclass now,
I wonder also, what will be the imposed fate of the growing numbers of disenfranchised?

This could be the sign of a virtual culling. We know that many will go homeless and have little in the way of good health care. So, some will die of exposure or poor health. Others will not be able to stand the stress and strain of loss and displacement and a constant struggle to just survive, (in a country that has no legal place for the homeless to do so).

There is a thriving, private prison industry, so many of them of us can be shunted easily into that prison system and those who are actually paying taxes will contribute to paying for this growing prison industry. The laws will become more draconian as a form of entrapment for the poor and destitute.

That still won't account for waves of lost souls, (men, women and children) with no jobs, no place to go, and no resources. We are seeing the remaining resources being trampled on in the form of cuts and elimination, now. The only real welfare we will continue to have is for the deadbeat rich and their corporate veils.

5. You have certainly seen the future.
I don't know what to tell ya.... many have tried to move the "progressives" to actual compassion and action, but they ain't having none of it. Its the same old "I'm interested only in what directly affects me", accompanied by the tossing of some crumbs.

All the protests are totally about the middleclass.... and they say it clearly.. that's all you hear. "The middleclass" "The middleclass"

They don't even have the compassion to give us a dignified and painless exit.

We are left to die on the street or off ourselves.

6. Compassionate conservatism has its limitations...
I like this sign from the protests in Madison:

"If you want support from a Republican, remain a fetus."
