Faux News Scrubs Transcript Where Fitzgerald Admits He Doesn't Have Votes to Kill Collective Bargaining a Second Time!
Thu, 03/24/2011 - 2:11pm | Jud Lounsbury

So, Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald was on Fox News on Tuesday night and let slip that he didn't have the votes if they re-voted on killing collective bargaining.

Fox moved quickly to bury this newsworthy item.

This is the official Fox News transcript and here is relevent quote from Fitzgerald:

FITZGERALD: You know the legislature is always very tentative. There are so many different factors that out there in trying to bring this together.

Except that's not what he said. Not even close. Here's what Fitzgerald actually said:

Greta, you know that the legislature is always very tentative, and you may have the votes on one day and then you don't on the next.

Fox CLEARLY attempted to hide Fitzgerald's revealing comments. Fox also did not post the video on their website, which is typical of most Van Susterin interviews. Luckily Crooks and Liars taped the show!....MORE>>>>

5. They just can't do anything legitimately can they? Everything has to be rigged, fixed, edited to
hide the truth from their stepford viewers. Is there anything that these people tell the truth about anymore? How do these people teach their children not to lie and to have integrity when they don't practice it in their lives? Almost everything said by Republicons is a total lie, half truth or the truth stretched way out into the extreme(basically just another lie). I guess they're all just teaching that old Christian truth, just ask for forgiveness and you have a get out of jail free card for life lol, the old six day sinner way of life. Well, what can we expect, the religion most chosen by Republicons, also happens to be the faith that employs the most child molesters, but, I digress.

9. March 23, 2011 08:00 AM Would Wisconsin's Anti-Union Bill Pass in a Second Vote?
I am beginning to doubt it would pass.

Occasionally Greta Van Susteren earns her keep, at least as it pertains to legal issues. She interviewed Wisconsin GOP Leader Scott Fitzgerald and grilled him on why he's persisting with a court action when he could simply give 24-hour notice and call a vote.

I have long thought the reason for the cramdown of the vote on this wasn't because of Democrats, but because of Republicans. I think their unity was fracturing and with each passing day, public pressure and disapproval was growing to the point where at least three Republican Senators were in danger of defection.

Fitzgerald seems to think so too. After being pressed by Greta, who quite reasonably points out that all he'd have to do is comply with the 24-hour notice requirements to get his law passed and published even as the old one "meanders in the courts", he says this:

Greta, you know that the legislature is always very tentative, and you may have the votes on one day and then you don't on the next.
