6. Thank you
I hope to continue posting things I find to keep this subject fresh.. And I really do hope people find a way to donate. I donated to: www.globalgiving.org. There are other organizations too. I can't wait for my next paycheck. I really want to help badly!

3. Horrific.
I saw footage on BBC news last night of people burning the timbers of their destroyed homes to stay warm and sleeping in their cars. Tragic.

4. This is the story. 27,000 will be dead at the end of this
from the tsunami. Entire families and cities destroyed.

9. Looking at the destruction, even that number seems tame on occasion
I really don't know where it'll all end up. What an enormous tragedy.

10. Still trying to wrap my brain around the scope of such a horrific tragedy.
K&R.

The sign that shows the start of the estimated tsunami inundation area helps paint the picture of how much more intense this was, beyond anyone's forecast.

14. Have they been able to get to still standing houses that are in fields of debris?
I know that some standing houses had people stuck in them, hoping that they have been able to be rescued from them.

So sad, thanks for posting, best wishes
