Why We In Ohio NEED HB 159 (Voter ID Bill) Desperately |
|
The Republican-controlled Ohio Legislature took 8 days to pass HB 159, the bill requiring a State-issued photo ID in order to vote. And it's a good thing they did, because we're facing a very dire problem here in Ohio. What's the problem you ask? ELECTION FRAUD!!! (Cue ominous music: Dun, dun, dunnnnnnnnnn!!!)
How bad is the problem? Just take a look at these sobering statistics and then tell me you won't be waking up in the middle of the night screaming from now on.
Since 2002, the State of Ohio has documented a total of FOUR incidents in which people showed up to the polls and attempted to cast a vote fraudulently! And that's in elections in which 9 million votes were cast! That means that if those people had been allowed to cast ballots, fraudulent votes would have accounted for 0.0004% of the vote!!! Good luck getting to sleep tonight with that little piece of information rolling around in your brain.
So you can see why the Republicans stepped up and took this bill so seriously. This is a dire, dire problem facing us here in Ohio, and I applaud the Republican Party for solving the REALLY pressing problems facing our State right now. Kudos, folks!!!

1. I know vampires can't see themselves in mirrors - do they show up in photographs? |
|
Because if they don't, a lot of Republicans might regret this bill......

2. But don't forget the other problem the GOP is trying to fix with the bill: |
|
Democrats sometimes get elected in Ohio.

4. I Wish They'd Stop Beating Around The Bush.......... |
|
..........and just pass the legislation they REALLY want to pass. You know, the bill that makes it a felony to vote for a non-Republican. That's where all this namby-pamby pussy-footing is heading. Just outlaw the Party out of power and be done with it.

5. Four people were caught, Well if you don't have to show your |
|
ID how would anyone know how many fraudulent voters there were? That's like not having any Cops in a city then saying we don't have any crime cause nobody was ever arrested for breaking the law.

7. This is going on in States with Republican Governors. Republkicans |
|
have been after this for years. Every election you hear the GOP wail, Election fraud. It has begun to look like legalizing suppression of the vote.
