1. I'm wondering if parts for those cars are going to become difficult to get. |
|
I have a hybrid myself and it's great but I'm concerned about the availability of parts with what's going on in Japan.

We too have a 2007 Prius, but ours only has about 32K on it (I have a short commute, and we scooter/bike a lot of places).

5. Ours has never had a problem |
|
The only time it's needed anything but routine maintenance was when I was rear-ended in an accident. And that impressed the body shop because although the hatchback needed replaced, the rear battery made it through the accident with no problems.

3. I have a 2007 Prius with 75,000 miles. No problems with it, except that it was built by a fucking... |
|
company that murdered people by not disclosing problems with cars when they knew they existed. Bastards.
Other than that, though, it's been a pretty good car. A consistent 49 mpg.

7. Well, if it is not comfortable enough for you, buy an Escalade hybrid. |

8. Unless it's an "only" car, and the family includes large children/teens |
|
most people never/rarely have to accommodate 5 people for very many trips. If you look at cars near you when you drive regularly, you'll probably notice that most cars have 1 or 2 people in them (unless you are near a high school right after school....)
The people who need to cart 5 people or more around regularly, are probably using a van or SUV, but for many many other people the back seat rarely gets used:)
